Hair & Beauty Magazine
Yes, another ridiculously late unboxing post. I'm trying to catch up before this month's boxes arrive! :) So, for today, we have Ipsy's June Glam Bag. I gotta admit that I was a bit disappointed by my bag this month. It's not terrible, it's more the shades of things that I'm not too fond of...and I know that some bags included Cailyn Gel Eyeliners, which I am dying to try! Mine, sadly, was not among the lucky winners. Maybe next time! :) So...on to the unwrapping...!
Firstly, I really am not a fan of the bag itself. I don't really care about the bag, but neon lime with dingy cheetah..or is it leopard?...print is just not my thing. But, on to the contents....
There is another Chella product this month. It is the Ivory Lace Highlighter, which looks really nice and convenient for a brow highlight. I'm not sure if it could be used on the waterline, but if so, it might be a nice inner rim brightener too!
Next, we have what I believe to be a full size Lip Liner from Starlooks. It doesn't say what exactly it is, but what else could it be? :) It is in the shade "Bare." It looks nice, and everyone can use a neutral or nude lip liner, so it should be nice to try.
This next item, I know that I like the product, but the color is really odd to me. It is a full size NYX Blush in the shade "Copper." It's a very shimmery looking copper. I really don't see this working nicely as a blush, and it is too shimmery to seem like a good bronzer. I do see this as a great eye shadow shade, but I'm puzzled by it as a blush. If anyone has any thoughts about how this shade might work on the cheeks, please let me know! :) I suppose I'll give it a shot as a blush right before I wash my face some night and maybe I'll be shocked and amazed at it's beauty. Fingers crossed! :)
Now for some real disappointments. They are both from a brand called J. Cat. They have a really cute logo (the last letter is a cat), however it is difficult to tell whether the name is "Cat" or "Cas." I looked on the back, and it is J. Cat, so mystery solved. They are a cruelty-free company as well, so yea!!!! :) Anyway, the first product might be great if I were between 6 and 13 years of age. It is the Sparkling Cream Palette. It contains 5 shades of super chunky cream glitter. I think it is a relatively clear cream base that is chocked full of incredibly chunky colored glitter. Not really a look I ever wear. It might be fun to play with, but I really don't see myself doing even that, with the possible exception of Halloween. Not too excited on that one! Oh well!
Finally, again from J. Cat is a pair of Eyelashes + Eyelash Glue. They are 100% Human Hair and they are cruelty-free. I'm not a big wearer of false lashes - again, maybe for Halloween - so I don't think I'll get much use out of these. I'm sure they're lovely, just not really me. And I will add that I find it a bit creepy to put another human's hair on my eyes! :) I can look past it, but it still seems kind of weird to me.
So that was my June Ipsy Glam Bag! I hope you enjoyed seeing the contents. I will admit that I was slightly disappointed by this month's contents, but it wasn't all bad. As far as I can tell, all of the products are full-size, which is amazing! Plus, there was a 30% Off code for Cailyn's website, so I took advantage of that and ordered a gel liner in a shade I knew I'd like! Hopefully July will be a bit more to my liking, but I don't mean to be negative. I'm still happy with Ipsy, it just wasn't a great month for me! :) If you are interested in subscribing to Ipsy, you can check out my affiliate link for their site here or just head to www.Ipsy.com.
