Apple releases iOS 8.1.1 to improve performance and increase iOS 8.1 stability for your iPhone 4S and iPad 2. This update will also fix bugs found on iOS 8.1. Did you notice that unlike the previous iOS updates, this is the first time that an iOS update didn't show the summary or the change log of various bug fixes? It only shows the main feature of the update which on this particular release is to improve iOS 8.1 for iPhone 4S and iPad 2.
To download the update "over-the-air" or directly on your iOS device, go to Settings > General > Software Update.
