I don't know how many of you are familiar with Bedford, New York. This sleepy bucolic town, which I call home, is incredibly beautiful and has some wonderful residents (and famous ones too) but if you blink, you might just miss the whole thing! Nightlife is not for what it is best known, and as far as restaurants, we have very few. One is a part of Bedford Post, owned by Richard Gere, and now in Pound Ridge, a hamlet of Bedford, we have the reopened Inn at Pound Ridge, Chef Jean‑Georges' latest venture.In no time flat, this became the place to see and be seen. On Valentine's evening alone I saw Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, Martha Stewart and Chevy Chase! This two story rustic setting has an air of casual elegance paired with seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine. While Father's Day was the first time I saw children dining there, the menu and building itself are welcoming to all. Whether you are looking for a fabulous cocktail (the ginger margarita to name one...) a flatbread pizza (yes they will hold the cheese), sweet pea guacamole or perfectly cooked, freshly harvested vegetables, you can't go wrong. They have plenty to surely please the non-vegan crowd but that's for another blog! This is surely a destination in dining, and it can take 2 months to get a reservation so call now and plan a great night ahead!
