You’ve been saying this a lot and I need to throw in some perspective. It’s true that Gulf Arab states spend tons of cash on social welfare programs.
So while Arabs enjoy a decent standard of living it must be noted that their societies remain stagnant and evolve VERY slowly. However, that their governments actually live up their part of the agreement (providing for the people) makes these Arab societies to be slightly morally superior to South Asia. But that isn’t saying much.
Gulf Arab cities look like Phoenix.
Nobody is shitting or pissing in public, there are no public beggars, the air and water are clean, society is peaceful and orderly, crime is rare, there are no rivers of raw sewage running through the cities, there is no caste system among the Arabs, people are not suffering from horrible diseases in public, dead bodies are not rotting out in public or floating in the rivers or lying on the beaches, the sidewalk and ground is not covered every inch in shit, there are few to no Arab slums, the level of corruption in medicine, education and government is fairly low and does not cripple society, people are not profoundly amoral or immoral in their daily lives, women are safe in public, police are pretty decent and fair, people are well fed and healthy, medical care and education are free, housing is modern, nice and civilized, etc.
Even the poorer Arab societies have a base level of civilization that is simply lacking anywhere in South Asia.
Pakistan is a horrific toilet compared to the Arab World. This is because the Pakistani Muslims are Hinduized Muslims. The Hinduization of Muslims destroys just about everything positive about Islam (the creation of a decent and orderly society) while retaining everything bad about Islam (backwardness, terrorism, homicidal bigotry against schismatic Muslims and non-Muslims, horrific treatment of women, etc.)
Any group that can create calm, orderly, peaceful, functional, smooth-running, non-chaotic cities that look like suburban Phoenix gets my respect. Furthermore, Islam rates are highly moral society within its own realm. There is a system of morality at work there that holds society together and creates an orderly and functioning system.
