In the meantime, thankfully many brands of hummus are available on market shelves that are not Sabra brand, and it is also very easy to make at home.
Here is a recipe I shared quite a while ago:
1 cup chickpeas, drained
2 TBSP extra virgin olive oil1 TBSP sunflower seed butter
1 TBSP lime juice
1 tsp sea salt
Puree together in a high speed blender and serve.
For a more traditional hummus, replace the sunflower nut butter with tahini, and the lime juice with lemon.
