Excessive packaging much?!
A few weeks ago I posted about my missing Illamasqua order that I had ordered at the end of June, which hadn't arrived. Well, guess what. it finally arrived!! I'm not going to recount the whole story but basically I had placed an order with Illamasqua not realising that they used Yodel to deliver their products. This poses a problem for me as I am not home until late during the week and so can't sign for my orders. Anyway after much frustration I finally received a repsonse from Illamasqua custimer services ( a week and multiple emails after I first contacted them) and they had tracked down my package and resent it. Luckily for me someone in my building signed for it and left it outside my door.After tweeting my frustarations about the whole situation Julian Kynaston, the founder of Illamasqua contacted me and sent me a few goodies in the mean time. Although I was super frustrated by the whole situation I though this was a lovely gesture and really quite rare for the head of a company to get involved in these matters. He sent me these false lashes and powder eye shadow.
The problem with the package was that it was too large to fit through my post box. Seriously, why do companies insist on using so much packaging? It would be cheaper and better for customers if they were delivered in boxes small enough to go through letter boxes. I only ordered two small items. So nearly a month later I have finally met my order. I ordered a cream foundation and nail polish and my first impressions are really good.

Although the process of getting the parcel was stressful I'm optimistic the products will be worth the wait!
