By the Writing Bug that is.
When I was a child, I used to write screenplays all the time. I even had some classes on how to accomplish this. I really enjoyed it. Over the years, I tried writing a few stories but was always trying to write about something I really no experience in. Thus a flop of a story or two and many unfinished.
I Think I’m Ready
I’ve been looking for a new challenge. I have been getting so overwhelmed by social media lately and the need to try to keep up with the rest of bloggers. I know I should pressure myself, but we all want to succeed, right?
However, I’ve been stumped and in a bloggy slump. After thinking about this for quite some time, I Think I’m Ready.
Ready For What?
Ready to try writing a story again. I think the best stories I’ve ever read have been based on true stories or those that are part fact and part fiction. I believe if you can’t feel the emotion in what you’re writing, it’s going to be a flop.
I’ve Recently Been Inspired
The past six (6) months have been a whirlwind in my life yet I continue to plug right along. Holding on to hope and faith about my life and where it’s going. I’ve been devastated. I’ve been soul-searching. And now, I’m inspired. Inspired to share a story from the heart. Full of emotion.
My Project
I’ve started a new Facebook Page specifically for my writing efforts. Bren Lee, Amateur Writer. I’m not claiming to be a pro because I’m far from it. But I have a story in my heart and I feel the need to share it.
I’ve also started a site for my story. I thought about the best way to do this and feel a free site is best for now. If the story gains a large enough audience, then I will entertain the idea of moving to my self host.
Introducing
This is the story I’m currently working on. You might find some similarities in the first couple of chapters with my personal life, however, although I am filtering some of my story and emotions into this story, it’s not solely my life. This story is mainly portrayed as fiction. A romantic, devastating, and finding peace type of story. Please don’t feel pressured to follow the story or LIKE my Facebook page. I merely letting you all know, my friends and readers, about my new project. This new project may take me away from blogging at My Girly Parts but I will continue to keep up the Facebook Page and Twitter. As time allows, I will try my best to post a bit here and there on My Girly Parts.
I am very excited about my new project and hope it will be a success. Thank you as always for your continued support of My Girly Parts. You all are truly wonderful friends!
