I'm For Fiori

By Yonni @vegandthecity
I spend a lot of my time over the summer in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
I went to camp there (Eisner - best camp ever...) and now my son is a camper so I have lots of reasons to spend my time in that neighborhood. Trust me, even without a reason to go, just wanting to relax, eat great food, shop, visit museums and art galleries are enough motivation for anyone to want to head to the area (not to mention Canyon Ranch and Cranwell resorts and spa are a stone's throw away!)
I'm For FioriOne of the best restaurants in town is Fiori (it was previously Pearls and also highly regarded.)  I was first introduced to their awesome truffle fries on a hot afternoon a couple of summers ago, and had dinner there a couple of weeks ago. It was just so good...If you find yourself on Railroad Street in Great Barrington, here are just a few reasons to done here.
The cocktail list was fun so I had the "cassis and desist" (I'm a sucker for a good name) - cynar, cassis, peach liqueur, lemon juice and prosecco.
I'm For FioriOnce drinks were out of the way (they infuse their own vodkas by the way and have some cool options,) we headed into appetizers.  Needless to say I did not try the lobster bruschetta my friends rave about, but the olive tapenade and black chickpea hummus (which actually looked and tasted nothing like hummus) were both very tasty.  Yeah, we got the truffle fries too...

I'm For FioriFor dinner I selected the vegetable tasting - vinegar kale, black chickpeas with tomato, sizzled mushrooms (picture super skinny onion rings or potato strings but mushrooms!) and some roasted veggies (I did not have the onion mashed potatoes with which they are normally offered.)
