I Bid Ye Farewell

I’ve come here today to bid ye farewell. It’s been a fabulous ride of ups and downs with My Girly Parts. I’ve met some wonderful people, networked with those around the globe, and made some really awesome friends. However, the time has come to move on.

You may remember my post I’ll Confess, I Have Been Beaten Down. This started me on a blog sabbatical for over the past week. One week is all it took for me to realize my journey on this site must end. With everything I have going on in my full-time paying job and my new found love of actually enjoying my evenings at home with my family, I don’t nearly have the time it takes to blog at My Girly Parts on a consistent basis.

If you are a blogger, you know it’s not all about publishing an article on our own site. That is the easy part. The rest that comes along with it is more time-consuming:

  • Sharing your articles on social media networks
  • Commenting on your articles
  • Reading other blogs
  • Commenting on other blogs
  • Sharing other blog posts
  • Rinse and Repeat

It really is a lot to do when you actually sit down and write it all down, especially if you have other priorities.

good bye

This decision was not taken lightly however I am forging on with my other journey into publishing short stories. There is no guarantee I will be successful and some may not think I’m good at all, however it is something I am passionate about now and need to devote what little time I have left during my evenings to writing.

I will continue to visit your blogs, comment when possible, and share. I’m not leaving the world of social media nor could I let you disappear from my life. I merely needed to put my life, my family, my job, and my passion for writing above my hobby of blogging at MGP.

The My Girly Parts Community Group on Facebook will remain open as well as MGP’s Twitter and Fan Page. Some things can’t be totally given up. 😉

So now my journey begins. A more relaxing, no pressure journey into writing short stories. Cori of Not Now Mom’s Busy has so graciously allowed me to Contribute to her blog on a monthly basis so I won’t be totally gone from the blogging world. I’m also open to guest posts or contributing to other sites as long as I can comfortably fit it into my schedule.

One cannot be an author without a website so I’ve recently created a brand new Rated R author website set up. Rated R due to the mature content and sexual situations that may be in the stories. For a limited time only, if you Sign Up for my Newsletter, you can download a Free short.  You can find my new site at Paranormal & Romantic Shorts by Brenda Lee.

I am thankful for all the years of support you have given me, the opportunities you have given me to share intimate parts of my life with you, and for those of you who opened your hearts to me. I will never forget you. Thank you again for being in my life.
