I Am a Tea Pig

I am a tea pigIf you know me well, you will know I'm a girl who loves her tea. If you don't know me so well,  my view is that almost any issue can be remedied by having the perfect brew. I have increased my tea stash considerably over the last few months and I have even invested in a glass teapot and infuser set. I rely on tea to sooth my stomach, purify my skin and wave goodbye to those pesky hangovers. You can only imagine my excitement when I received this Teapigs pick n' mix sample pack of 12 teas for Christmas. It wasn't a complete surprise as I had dropped a fair few hints during November and Decemeber about what a fantastic gift it would make and was considering buying myself.

Tea pigs are a fantastic company who aim to spread the world about how fantastic tea with minus the snobbery. As you can see there are 12 mini boxes which each contain 2 tea bags inside. You can hand select which teabags you want online so each and every box is suited perfectly to the tea taster. This box was a perfect way for me to sample the teas on offer and I will definitely be purchasing some of the single flavor packs. As you cans see from the photographs below I have already tried some and they did not disappoint. The spiced winter warmer was bursting with cinnamon and would satisfy anyone with a sweet tooth, whilst the peppermint leaves were ideal after a carb packed dinner.

I am a tea pigThe tea is packed into mesh triangle tea bags which allow the tea to diffuse perfectly. The only thing I sometimes have trouble with is peeling the label from the bag which has caused the tea bag to rip, so just make sure you have a soft touch. I think the next step for me is to try out their matcha tea which is made from 100% organic tea leaves.Tea pigs claim that one serving of their matcha green tea contains 15 times the nutrients of regular green tea, 70 times the antioidants of orange juice and 9 times the beta carotene of spinach.
