How to make Frosé (frozen rosé)

Ever feel like something is missing from your life? I’ve found the answer … frosé. As in, frozen rosé.

With temps now in the 30s, this grown up version of the slushie makes the perfect summer afternoon drink or dessert.

I whipped up my first batch for Christmas drinks last weekend and it was a huge hit with the girls so now I’m sharing the recipe on how to make this delicious frozen wine cocktail!

How to make Frosé

Ingredients:
1 x 750ml bottle of Rosé (I used Brown Brothers 18 Eighty Nine Dry Rose)
Sugar syrup
Strawberries
Ice cubes

Method:
Pour rosé into a 13×9″ pan and freeze until almost solid (it won’t completely solidify due to the alcohol), at least 6 hours.

Scrape 2 cups of frozen rosé into a blender. Add 30ml sugar syrup, and 2 cups of ice and 2 fresh strawberries, purée until smooth. (If it’s a bit runny, add more ice cubes or pop blender jar back into the freezer until thickened.

Pour into a large wine glass or tumbler glass. Garnish with fresh berries and mint.

Enjoy!
