How to have fun but not spend a fortune on vacation?
The holiday period lasts. Each of us longingly awaits the date on which the holiday will start and finally will be able to rest properly. There are several holiday destinations - some prefer to spend their holidays at home, others satisfy their holidays in our country, and others go abroad to visit new countries and learn about their charms. All these types, however, have one thing in common - each of them wants to save money, but at the same time enjoy the holidays.
During the holidays and holidays, most of us live according to the principle "I am on vacation, I will not regret it". And rightly so, because you work all year, so in such moments you can afford a little crazy. Unfortunately, everything hits us at the end of the holiday, we think where we could save, whether eating in the most expensive restaurant in the area was necessary? Therefore, in this guide we will try to suggest how to avoid unnecessary expenses, to return to work after a holiday with a clear conscience.
Very often it happens that a man excited before the trip falls into a kind of shopping madness. When the date of departure is fast approaching, everything in the store seems necessary to us - additional cosmetics, another swimsuit or unnecessary dolphin-shaped mattress. All this is typical throwing money away. In this way we waste money on things that we will use once or not at all. It has been known for several years that Poles are eager to buy unbelievable amounts of food, which sooner or later end up in the basket, because there was simply too much of it, and the date of expiration long ago with them.
That is why it is worth packing calmly and with your head. The best way to avoid extra expenses will definitely be a list of things you need. Thus, we will avoid buying seemingly useful but unnecessary things. The time in which we will collect the necessary resources is also very important, because with the arrival of summer, typical things for this period like to go up. Things like clothes or travel gadgets can be bought early enough and you can save some money.
Establishing an indicative budget can also help. Imposing a predetermined amount to utilize each day's rest can, as a result, save a considerable amount. The most economical option would be to take a certain amount of money into your wallet while the rest would stay in the room. Then we are sure that our previously set daily limit will not be exceeded. Of course, we should still have a payment card with us in case of emergency.
Holidays are planned a few months in advance, or we use last-minute offers, which are characterized by a much lower price. Of course, there are countries where leisure will cost much less so it's also worth looking at such locations as:
- Croatia, Albania or Bulgaria, i.e. countries that are quite popular among Polish holiday makers. What connects these countries is that they are outside the Euro zone. Thanks to this, the currency exchange will not be as noticeable as in the case of the euro. In this area the "summer season" lasts even this October, so during this time the trip should be even cheaper
- Spain or Italy is one of the most popular countries among tourists. It is not surprising because they not only encourage the weather, but also cuisine and monuments. In order to save a few pennies, it is worth choosing accommodation in smaller cities that are in the vicinity of the location of interest to us. Not only will there be more accommodations, but they will also be cheaper.
- Asia and South America can also be a very economical destination. It is true that the ticket itself can cost a lot, but according to estimates, accommodation and meals in this part of the world is about 80 zlotys. The biggest attractions and great cuisine are the domains of many Asian or South American countries, so it's worth looking for trips to Thailand, India, the Philippines, Mexico or Peru.
The biggest black hole when it comes to spending extra money are of course the most popular places. Monuments and historic squares or squares are places where thousands of tourists visit every day. In these places, souvenirs, restaurants or similar premises of this type will be much more expensive than those located outside the historic place next to which we are located.
Very often it happens that after arriving and checking in at the hotel, we suddenly receive information that we have to make additional payments. Is it for parking, internet or so-called tourist tax. To avoid this situation, it is worth to look around and look for information on the network about whether the place where we stop practicing such plays. Then we will be more or less prepared for such an eventuality.
Remember that on vacation we go to rest, reset, rest from everyday life, so do not give up all the attractions. Spend money wisely so you don't regret it later!
