LinkedIn benefits for job
According to Wikipedia,LinkedIn is a business-oriented social networking site. Founded in December 2002 and launched on May 5, 2003, it is basically a professional networking site. In year 2006, LinkedIn increased to 20 million viewers. As on June 2013, LinkedIn reports more than 259 million acquired users in more than 200 countries and territories.
So from above information it is clear LinkedIn is basically for professionals. In this post we have 22 tips to get most of LinkedIn so that you can get quick and best job exactly the type you are looking.1)  Firstly, Your headline is your advertisement your LinkedIn profile has your Name, your photo, and also a heading. Optimize it well and use it to communicate what you do and what you offer, remember keep it brief, simple and interesting!2) Secondly post a face picture. Obviously people are statistically more likely to connect to you, if you have a face picture. Suppose, if you meet someone and if they try to connect with you on LinkedIn, they will remember your face picture is available!3) Be clear about partners, suppliers, clients, employers know what you want and make sure that your profile reflects this.4) Enlist your skills. We rarely connect with someone who hasn't described about their skills.5) The summary is about YOU [and not about your company] use this to demonstrate to people the benefits of linking with you. Do have a great summary.6) When you are due to meet new people, check their LinkedIn profile. Chances that you will be able to check their role in their current company. Also, you can see the mutual contacts they are connected to and the Groups they have subscribed to.7) Be choosy. Though you can play the number game to build a network, but be careful you may add the wrong types of personnel. Your networking strategy should be a mix of offline and online that is when you meet someone, try to Link to them on LinkedIn.8) Get endorsed people in your network. People who can endorse your skills. Though this is not foolproof but, at a glance, people can see about you. 9) Do explain the reason why you want to connect to him/her, you ask the same to the one who wants to connect to you. DON’T use the default LinkedIn message. It’s simple if you can’t be bothered to explain why…why should they be bothered to say a “YES” to your request??10) You must add sections, LinkedIn has sections for you to showcase projects, foreign languages, and experience. Even if you lack extensive work experience you still have a lot to show by adding more sections thus adding weight to the profile.11) Some of the groups are full of spam [if the group is a waste or just a spam simply leave it]. Take part ask questions; answer questions. So you must join the groupsadmittedly.12) LinkedIn gives you an opportunity to connect media links to your profile including video, pictures, audio, presentations and documents making your profile rich and in-fact interesting. So you should include media in your profile. While Facebook and Twitter are great outlets for sharing content with friends, LinkedIn is the place to share contents relevant to your industry, business and profession.13) Connect your profile with Social sites you use. There are plenty of ways to promote yourself. Connect your profile with your Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and personal website (if any) so when you post a status update, make sure it updates your social profiles also.14) Post status updates that make you visible to your connections. As it appears in their news-feeds. Do remember to hash tag some key parts of the update as it appears in your Twitter feed too.15) Don’t forget to follow your favorite Influence-rs, Interested Communities and Organizations in Pulse.16) Try LinkedIn blog to add a new level of personality and expertise to your profile. Share details about your new job, share some professional insight, or showcase new project you're working so that your network could learn from them.17) Remove the connections that are no longer useful or are actually fakes.18) Do use a customized URL and a professional head-shot.19) LinkedIn says that active group users get four times as many profile views as those who don't use this resource. This can be seen that it you don’t update your profile on regular basis you can see in right corner a fall in your profile rankings. I had witness losing the ranking. A good place to start is to join your alma-mater's official group and see what discussions are going on. And if you're on a job hunt, it could be a good place to reach out to alumni.20) The worst thing you can do is have your profile be one long list. Recruiters won't look at your, if your profile is a mess to read. Make sure you distribute your information across each of the sections LinkedIn offers, and arrange them in an order you consider most relevant to your industry and the job you're seeking. For example, if you have experience in the “non-profit” sector, highlight the same in "Volunteer Experience & Causes" rather than the main "Experience" list.21) Don't forget the crucial "Summary" box. It is  first impression of your professional profile. And you know “First Impression is the Last Impression” It is also the perfect place for keywords that will enhance search engine optimization (SEO) benefits for your page.22) And finally, don’t forget to keep updating every time you update part of your profile, it goes into your contacts news-feeds as we build networks, we see a lot of updates from our connections so continually improve your profile as a way to feed information to your current network whilst being increasingly attractive to new ones. Hope you got this.LinkedIn is a great business tool to have in your sales strategy oh and be sure to link to me!
