Have you ever said to yourself, “i wonder what a Bride is looking at when she goes to my website?” I know I did and even now that I no longer plan weddings, I still ask myself, “I wonder what a Wedding Pro is looking at on my website?” It was so nice when I learned a couple of years ago, that I didn’t have to wonder anymore.
So how do you know what Brides are looking at on your site?
It’s a wonderful tool called a heatmap, also known as eye tracking technology. A heatmap allows you to know what your visitors click on and what they don’t, how far they are willing to scroll down on a page, how many clicks you receive on a certain element of your page, what time visitors click, etc. It truly is an AMAZING tool and I recommend that everyone should have one on their site. The information you get is priceless. There are so many things I have changed on my website, because of my heatmap.
I use CrazyEgg. it’s easy to understand and interpret what you find and ever better yet, since I have a WordPress site, there is a plugin! All I have to do is input the code given to me by CeazyEgg. Simple.
