This post will try to offer acceptable definitions that are necessary and sufficient to describe the terms gay men, straight men and bisexual men.
A definition of a homosexual man: Gay is an identity, not a behavior. To be a gay man describes a sexual orientation characterized by lasting aesthetic attraction, romantic love, and sexual attraction exclusively for others of the same sex. To be a gay man means that one’s thoughts, fantasies and behavior are in alignment. It is an identity based on affectional, emotional, spiritual, psychological and sexual feelings exclusively or predominantly towards men.
The same definition can be easily modified to define heterosexuality.

To be a straight man means that one’s thoughts, fantasies and behavior are in alignment. It is an identity based on affectional, emotional, spiritual, psychological and sexual feelings exclusively or predominantly towards women.
A definition of a bisexual man: Bisexual is an identity, not a behavior. To be a bisexual man describes a sexual orientation characterized by lasting aesthetic attraction, romantic love, and sexual attraction towards both men and women in some substantial degree. To be a straight man means that one’s thoughts, fantasies and behavior are in alignment. It is an identity based on significant and substantial affectional, emotional, spiritual, psychological and sexual feelings towards both men women.
