Work still hasn't started on our loft conversion & so my son - who will be the new occupant of the loft - is in a temporary bedroom.
A year ago I painted the floorboards & the walls of the room white, thinking of course that it would be a very temporary measure....if only ;)The room has enough space (and storage) for a 9 year old so it's only been frustrating for me, not really for him.
I have been thinking that I'd like to do something with the room though just to give it a quick makeover, as he won't be moving for at least another few months.
I don't want to wallpaper it & so I thought a wall mural might be a good plan.
I used wall stickers on my daughter's wall which I really love but I thought this time I might try changing an entire wall....and the way that his room is currently set up lends itself to this change.

As so much of the room is white, a colourful mural seems ideal.....he likes that idea too!He currently has a large map of the world pinned up on one wall & although I love maps in childrens' rooms, I thought of replacing this with a cityscape.

It's hard to choose one though & so when I found this collage Cityscene mural which is in fact made of 64 images of cities all around the world, I really liked it.
The cities can be placed in any arrangements or even on more than one wall....
the images are black & white with splashes of color.
I like the fact that you can apply them to your walls as you wish, overlapping, in a central square or on one wall or more....
I also like that the mural is super easy to apply, definitely a bonus for someone as inexperienced as me!
The Cityscene mural is available from 1wall who also have many other great murals....I particularly love this New York image & this Where's Wally design, my son would love it!
