Honey's Operation

By Rubytuesday
My sister and Honey and I traveled to my dads home town yesterday morningWhere we had an appointment with the vet at 11 30amThe roads were quite slippy So we really had to take our time drivingHoney slept soundly in the back seat the whole wayWe arrived at my dadsChanged carsAnd made our way to the vetsAfter speaking to the girl at receptionThe vet called us in to the surgeryHe was lovely to HoneyAnd petted her and spoke to her for a few minutes before examining herHoney didn't even growl or anything
After Honey was feeling comfortableThe vet checked her little eyeHe winced as he looked at itThen took out a little torchAnd checked it as I held her eye openHe said the eye was rupturingAnd the only option was to remove itAs she was in painHe was so very sure that the eye was deadAnd she had no sightThe vet then checked her weight and heartTo make sure she was fit for surgeryHe said that if Honey weighed any moreSurgery wouldn't have been possibleHoney is over weightAnd that is something that I really need to address when she gets wellWe left Honey in the vets capable handsHoping she would be okWe would ring in the afternoon to check on herAnd my dad would pick her up that evening
My sister and I wanted to get home earlyAs the weather wasn't greatSo we had a quick bite to eatAnd set off for homeMy dad rang the vets before we leftThe operation went wellThere were no complicationsAnd she could be picked up in a few hoursI was so glad it went wellI couldn't wait to see her
That evening my dad rang me to let me know that Honey was home in his houseShe was very sedatedAnd was sleeping peacefullyShe got up onceAnd was very confusedSo my dad brought her bed in beside the fire where she went back to sleepI rang this morning to check on her And she is still sleeping
All being wellMy dad will bring her here todayI am so looking forward to seeing herI have been so worriedHere are a couple of photos from yesterday
