This pagoda is one of the 70s pagoda which were built by an organization of Nichidatsu Fujii namely Nipponzan Myohoji. Its foundation stone was laid on 3rd November 1972 and was inaugurated in 1992. Lines of this beautiful pagoda was designed by M. Ohka and according to the source it took 36 hard month to construct this edifice which lives as eternal as its founder. In terms of defining its structure it has a commanding height of 94 ft and its breath stretches over 23 meter wide which sounds quiet superlative and amazing. Once you enter the beauty the first thing you are going to witness is a picture frame of Nichidatsu Fujii, styled in a traditional Japanese way every pillars of this temple defines the rituals of Buddha ethics. The moment you enter the white washed deity of Lord Buddha would come under your sight and more you will get inside you will witness the charm of this pagoda. The stairs that runs parallel would lead straight to the main entrance of the pagoda and from there you will walk to the second floor of pagoda and here you will witness the shrine of Lord Buddha. Here you can sit for praying which starts from 4:30am to 6am in the morning and at evening it will resume at 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Inside the praying hall the presided monk with its huge drums will cry the prayers. The humming sound of the prayers will make you feel divine and all you will be left with is loyalty that pays attention throughout the time you wander within the room of the pagoda. Adjacent to temple you will see tower which measure the height of 10 to 12 feet reveals the fact that foundation stone was laid at this sight. After that the giant tomb likes structure of pagoda which has been made to tribute the courtesy of Lord Buddha is a center of attraction. Here you are going to witness the beauty of structure they came out with and it is the tallest construction within Darjeeling. Pagoda is personified with the four beautiful structure of Lord Buddha and each and every composite defines the life of Siddhartha Gautama. Carved beautifully within the walls of pagoda the golden polish has made it more irresistible.
