Meanwhile, as of Friday afternoon, the rain has stopped and there's a touch of blue sky. I ventured out to the grocery and saw lots of evidence of flooding over the past few days. The picture below shows where both sides of this field of tobacco were underwater.
At the recycling center, I saw some old friends with their grandbaby.
"We're out for an adventure," said Jane. "We're going to see the sinkhole that opened up in the funeral home parking lot and then we're going to the grocery store."
