Help with Cake Decorating and Other Stencil Ideas!

Although I love making cakes for the Little A’s when it is their birthday, I am not great at it.  I always feel my cakes look OK but never that professional.

To help make my cakes look more professional I would definitely look into using stencils to decorate future cakes.  There are so many different types available from alphabet to animals, flowers to dinosaurs.  You can even have some custom made.

I think they would be a really easy way to decorate my cakes in the future and hopefully make them look much more professional.

As well as using them for cake decorating, they could also be used to decorate some matching biscuits or cupcakes which would be great for a birthday party.

Once you’ve used the stencils for cake decorating, I know that Little Mr A would have great fun drawing around them to make great pictures.  I used to love stencils when I was younger – not being very good at drawing free hand, they were a great way to make a picture that looked good and I could actually be proud of!

I would also use the seasonal stencils such as Christmas and Halloween to help Little Mr A make some cards for family and friends.  He loves sending cards to people and this Christmas made his own picture at school for our Christmas cards.

You could also use them as stencils for a wall decoration.  Some of the transport or butterfly stencils would look lovely painted on a child’s bedroom wall.

Do you have any other ways for using stencils?
