You may remember that at the start of the year I went on a research trip to New York. As part of my research I visited many galleries and museums. One of which was The Guggenheim Museum. You may remember that I suggested designers may tap into the Picasso Black and White display there.
And my prediction was right, the brand Helmut Lang’s Fall 2013 collection referenced Picasso and cubism.

And it’s not only New York that is obsessing over Picasso. After my visit to Somerset House for London Fashion Week I learnt there is an exhibition on Picasso currently on display: Becoming Picasso. And if that is not enough, the Montmartre Museum is also featuring a display on the artist. It looks as if there is a Picasso takeover in the worlds of art and fashion.
