Heineken x James Bond: A Partnership Spanning 18 Years

Although James Bond is known for his affinity towards the Vesper Martini that’s “shaken, not stirred,” his two most recent movies, Skyfall (2012) and Spectre (2015), have showed him chugging from a familiar green bottle. A lot of us are probably unaware that Heineken has been in a partnership with the spy movie franchise for 18 years now.

As a matter of fact, Heineken, in anticipation of Spectre, launched a massive global campaign that includes  special edition bottles, exclusive web content, and a special TV and web commercial released last September. Even more epic than those, in October, leading to the movie’s premiere, Heinekken gathered lucky attendees from around the world in a secret location for a Spyfie. which is the world's first-ever selfie from space. The brand partnered up with Urthecast to take ultra HD imagery using its camera on the Deimos satellite.

Here in Manila, we were invited by our friends from Heineken to celebrate the Bond lifestyle through a special screening of Spectre at the IMAX Theatre of SM Aura Premiere. It was a glitzy event with a handful of celebrities present, including the brand’s ambassadors, actress Maxene Magalona and Philippine Football National Team member Anton del Rosario.

Enjoyed across 192 countries today, Heineken, a premium quality lager beer, was first brewed in Amsterdam in 1873. It’s available locally in leading supermarkets, convenience stores, and bars.
