My blog will be 3 years old at the end of this monthAnd it has been an amazing 3 yearsSuch a rollercoaster of highs and lowsUps and downsVictories and defeatsTears and laughterSadness and joyI am so glad that I documented the last few yearsAnd I have it to look back onAnd see how far I've come
I had been reading blogs for a while before I started my ownThe very first blogs o read wereRecovering anorexic over on WordpressWho is no longer writing under that nameLou over at my life with ed, and, MiaYummy secretsAnd 2MedusaI was so inspired by these strong ladiesThat I decided to start writing myself
My blog started off as something bordering on unhealthyI wrote about fasting And trying to lose weightBut over time I began to document my life fighting both addiction and disordered eatingAnd now it is a lot more recovery based
I started my blog because I craved to be around others like meIn my real life my world had shrunk to just me and my illnessI was desperately lonelyDepressedAnxiousWriting was the perfect medium for meAs I could get the words out at my own paceAnd I found writing much easier than speakingI soon found a real love for itAnd I think my writing is improving all the time
This little community we have here on blogger is uniqueWhen I first started writing There was a thriving community hereAnd there was a real buzz about the placeOver the lay year howeverSo many bloggers have vanishedI wish I knew what has happened to themThese were the ladies who welcomed me in to this community with open armsLeft heartfelt comments on my blogAnd we're there for me through the drama that is my lifeI miss themI hope they are ok
So yeaI am delighted that my blog has been recognisedI feel so passionately about helping others like meTo warn and educate younger kids about the dangers of EDsTo think that my blog helps others truly warns my heartSo thank you HealthlineYou have made my day......
