Hazelnut-almond Cookies(egg Less)

After making nutella truffles,I had leftover hazlenut-almond flakes.I used that and made these delicious cookies,as I knew they would be great snack for finger food for my daughter.These cookies were chewy with full of texture and crunchy too.I used 100% whole wheat flour so along with nuts this is a guilt free and healthy snack item.

Star ingredient hazelnut-almond flakes
Time:10+15 minutes
Yield:20 cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup whole wheat flour
3/4 cup hazelnut-almond flakes
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
50 grams chilled butter
A pinch of salt
1/2 cup warm water/milk
vanilla
Method:
1.Prepare hazelnut-almond flakes as mentioned here.
Hazelnut-almond cookies(egg less) 2..In a large mixing bowl take hazelnut-almond flakes,wheat flour,salt,sugar,baking powder and scrapped and mix well.Combine very well.
3.To that bowl add the butter cubes and mix using your finger tips.Incorporate the butter cubes to the flour mixture till the mixture resembles bread crumbs.
Hazelnut-almond cookies(egg less)4. To this mixture add warm milk slowly and bring together to form a dough.Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes.Dough will be very soft and sticky.
Hazelnut-almond cookies(egg less)5.Prepare a cookie sheet or baking tray by greasing and dusting with flour.Now divide the dough into 20 small sized balls and flatten it slightly.Arrange the cookies in the baking sheet .
Hazelnut-almond cookies(egg less)6. Preheat oven at 200C for 10 minutes.Bake for about18-20 minutes till slightly browned.
Hazelnut-almond cookies(egg less)7.These will be chewy when hot but once cooled they become very crunchy.Cool for 15 minutes and serve.

1.You can any nut of your choice in this recipe.
2.The cookies will be little bit dense and chewy at first but becomes very crunchy after cooling.
3.You can replace wheat flour with all purpose flour
