Eden Hazard’s latest comments about his touted transfer to Real Madrid is that he won’t be making the move in January.
When Hazard spoke after Chelsea’s 3 – 0 win over Southampton on Sunday, a match wherein he bagged a goal and assist, he admitted he dreams of playing for Real and is interested in joining.
But Hazard, speaking while on duty with his national team, has appeared to dismiss the possibility of a January move to the Bernabeu.
The 27-year-old, who revealed earlier this week he is toiling over whether to stay at Chelsea or go to Spain, again addressed his future during a media conference on national team duty with Belgium.
It was put to the Blues star that to win the Ballon d’Or – and be crowned the world’s best player – he would have to play in Spain.
“That’s why I want to go, maybe,” said a smiling Hazard.
Asked if that move might happen in January, he said: “No.”
