EWG recently reported that preservative Propyl Paraben is one of many hazardous ingredient that is being used in 49 widely available processed foods. Though "cosmetic industry" has started removing it from their products.
Propyl Paraben is considered:
1. endocrine-disrupting chemical 2. Available in US food items generally recognized as "SAFE". 3. It can alter the expression of genes. 4. It accelerates the growth of breast cancer cells. 5. It can cause neurological, development and reproduction related adverse effects.
