Happy Weekend.

By Simonea
Happy Weekend.Having a domestic bliss kind of Saturday...listening to the radio, putting laundry on the washing line to take advantage of this gorgeously sunny November Saturday, raking leaves & hanging out with my son as everyone else is busy & it's just the two of us today.
I love this kind of day, the kind when you feel you have time to do things at a leisurely pace & you appreciate the value of time & the task in hand....I know life should always feel this way, but most of the time that isn't the reality. And so, it's lovely to do things thoughtfully & thoroughly.
Sunday dinner is always a family affair....it usually follows a day of painting, moving & shuffling & renovation discussions.Dinner is generally a one pot dish....a soup, stew or curry....planning what to make right now, something new or something familiar.I've made not one but three delicious soups this week....chicken & potato chowder, many-veggie vegetable soup & Jamie Oliver's store cupboard lentil soup.
This week has been school holidays....we've had busy days & pyjama days, the perfect mix.I think children sometimes need to be able to do nothing, get "bored", manage their own time, choose their activities & re-engage with their own stuff. Good times.
Tomorrow we will be painting, I'm working on a  few projects in collaboration with Farrow & Ball which I can't wait to get finished & to share on my blog. I'm loving my paint choices & also the process of transforming different items, giving them a new life....it's so satisfying & surprsingly simply, even for a complete novice like me ;)
And so it's November....wow, surely not, how did that happen etc? Sunshine in London today though....long may it last.
And finally, loving this inspiring feature, this gorgeous wedding & challah, schnitzel & bagels New York style.
Happy weekend, happy November!
