Yesterday was Australia Day, well if you want to be technical the day before yesterday if you taking into consideration time zones. But really if you’re Australian (like me) you don’t really need a designated date to drink a beer and celebrate being Australian. It’s been 7 years since I’ve been home, does that make me any less Australian? I may still be a bogan at heart and do enjoy a stubby every now and then especially when tossing a few snags on the barbie. The straya blokes and shelia’s may hear my yank accent and shake their heads “bloody hell, she needs a good roo burga”I spent Australia Day on Norman Island with my lovies and some friends. I may not be in Australia but I’m sweating like I am, this may just be the next best thing.You know what? I may shock you all by returning in a few months for some tim tams, ginger beer, prawns and of course meat pies for lunch EVERY DAY. Everyone has a bit of aussie in them, lets celebrate a country that's loved world wide. For its friendly citizens, its stunning landscape and of course the deadly wildlife. Everyone always wants to know how I survived childhood.
