1. Sucker for Stationary - I already have a stupidly large collection of paints, pens, pads - you name it, I guarantee I have at least ten different variations of it. My ridiculous obsession with writing lists in particular, means that I am always on the hunt for a pretty new notepad to jot them down in. This week, I've enrolled on a new training course, so it's given me a new excuse (not that I ever really needed another one) to enjoy perusing the latest offerings - for work purposes only you understand ;) I've included a little selection of my favourites in the first pic above - clockwise from top left; Archie Grand - Bloggers I Met And Liked, Get It Done Zebra Notepad, Carpe Diem Journal, Manolo Blahnik for Liberty - Red Shoe Print Notebook, Paperchase - Geo Square Scrapbook, Smythson - Inspirations and Ideas Textured Leather Notebook. The little zebra one is my fave at the moment - perfect for listing!
2. Bargain Books - Picked up the Liberty Home Sewing Book from The Works this week for a very reasonable £6.99 (RRP £20). Though it doesn't offer as much choice as some larger companies, I find that if I pop in there for a browse I nearly always end up coming out with a pile of books for a fraction of the price I'd pay anywhere else. I particularly love the section in this showing you how to make your own book covers - defo going to be getting crafty and giving it a go!
3. Regina Spektor's "Better" - I'm sure I wasn't the only one who watched "My Sister's Keeper" last night (tears a-plenty were shed in this house and in countless others too I have no doubt)? It's at the point where Kate and Taylor get together that this song plays, and without wanting to sound too sentimental - it's such a lovely moment! Apart from anything else, it has re-ignited my love for Regina (I've been listening to "Begin To Hope" all afternoon on repeat). It really is one of those songs that makes me feel like I want to sway back and to with a big smile on my face, belting out the lyrics  and that can only be a good thing! :)Happy Mondays #2
