Hair to a Wig.

By Littlefashionthoughts
Over the past two years and a month I had been growing my hair, from collar bone length to almost reaching my hips length. This took two years, apparently that's quite a length for two years maybe because it's healthy due to it never been dyed. But, it was also not cut by a hairdresser in that time period, I know, bad right? But honestly, I would much rather go to the dentist rather than the hairdressers, I've never liked the way my hair looks when I walk out of the shop, though this time I quite did.
Last Thursday out of pure boredom and anger due to finding my hair so boring and lifeless I decided to get it chopped off. When talking to the hair dresser because I was having a vast amount of hair cut off, I was discussing whether or not we could do something with it, like donate it to a charity. Since booking my appointment I'd been looking online at how to actually donate your hair so it can be made into a wig for someone with hair loss, a lot were children's charities which just sealed everything. I was donating hair.
And so I did, I was just so amazed at how going in to get my hair chopped off could maybe make a difference to someone. It may be nothing to be proud of really, donating hair, it's not exactly difficult to do. But I felt a slight happiness from it, knowing that just a small act could even bring a tiny smile to someone.
