"If you want to look great, then you have to feel great on both the inside and the outside. Sometimes your affect controls the way you feel about your outfit. When you feel confident and pretty, then suddenly you become more style-conscious. A great outfit can work in the other direction, as well. A cute fall sweater dress and the perfect pair of shoes can make you feel happy and energetic. A new pair of teal sandals can make you feel elegant or sexy.  If you feel good about your outfit, then you will feel more confident in what you say and how you interact with people.

Fashion is a great way to express yourself, and there is no better time to dive into fall fashion and accessories than the fall season.  This season, one of the must-have clothing items is the maxi skirt. The maxi skirt comes in a wide range of styles, colors, and patterns, so there is one to fit just about every personality. But it also is very versatile in that it flatters all kinds of body shapes and heights, and it is a piece that can go from day and into night. In just minutes, you can dress up a maxi skirt or dress it down. For example, if you are tall, a maxi skirt is going to look great on you naturally. If you are petite, then your maxi skirt is going to look fabulous with a tall heel bootie or a cute wedge boot.  To add further style to a maxi skirt, slip on a thin cardigan or a knitted wrap over a solid-colored, long-sleeved tee or a blue denim shirt. If you are on a budget, then purchase just one maxi skirt in a neutral color that you can easily pair with all kinds of sweaters, shirts, and cardigans. Another idea is to pair a neutral maxi skirt in a pale color such a beige or pale pink with a soft, creamy white sweater or cardigan. Fashionistas with a little edge will enjoy color-blocking by pairing a red maxi skirt with a pair of opaque yellow tights and a cool, teal sweater.  Finally don't be afraid to accessorize with your maxi skirt. Wearing accessories such as bracelets, earrings, and necklaces is a way to put together a complete look -- but you would remember that you can overdo it. So try to wear one or two accessories at a time, such as a pair of dangling earrings and a watch. Don't forget about belts! They are a great accessory for a maxi skirt, and can be worn to cinch your waist with style if you wear them over your sweater and around your middle.  If you want to buy one key piece for the fall season, then save your money for a maxi skirt! You can get a lot of mileage out of this great, versatile piece, and you will feel confident every step of the way when you wear it!"

I tried one on in the shops a couple of months ago and didn't think it looked right, but I think I'll give it another go. I love accessories and agree with Anya that they will look cute with wedge booties....Ooo I could wear them with my beloved Pull & Bear wedges, now that's an idea! So what do you think of the maxi skirt for this season? Will you be saving up your pennies to buy on? Guest post by Anya Sarre - Maxi skirt for Fall!
