Green Gram Dumpling | Pasiparrupu PaniyaramUsual paniyaram recipe needs rice flour and black gram or raw rice with black gram or urad dal.But this recipe does not need both the ingredients but this needs only an ingredient for making this wonderful snack and also another ingredient for sweetness.You may wonder what am talking about ,right ?I too wondered when i saw the event announcement for the first time in Facebook by Priya akka.And also this is one of the events I expected so far in this blogosphere and with immediate response i said yes to this event.Excited to know about the event right?Read below for more details.
  
I am talking about Ssssshhh secretly cooking challenge and this is a wonderful event which is happening between a pair exchanging two ingredients ie.,each one in the pair select two ingredients for other and vice versa.For this is the first pair,i paired with Subha from Indian Veggies Bhojan and she is one of my close friends too.I get really excited when Priya akka announced the pairs and we both on that day through phone and we had our ingredients on that day and decided to work then.She given me Green Gram and Jaggery as secret ingredients for me.

I thought of making some cake from these too but i skipped that will do that in future.One fine day,an idea strike my mind to make paniyaram from green Gram itself.Then soak the gram immediately ,grind and store it in refrigerator.Then the other day,i powdered jaggery and add it to the paste with cardamom powder.Then made paniyaram in the pan.Serve this piping hot.
  
GREEN GRAM PANIYARAM

Ingredients for making

  1. Green Gram /Pasiparrupu -1 cup
  2. Jaggery - 1/2 cup powdered
  3. Cardamom powder -1/2 teaspoon
  4. Oil - as needed

How to make

  • Soak the green Gram for 30 minutes and grind into a fine paste.Do not too much water.
  • Add powdered jaggery to it along with cardamom powder and mux the batter well.The batter should be little thick.
  • Heat the paniyaram pan,add oil in each and pour the batter.
  • Using skewers,turn them and cook in low flame as the paniyaram easily burn due to jaggery.
  • After they get cooked on both sides,and repeat the same for remaining batter.
  • Serve piping hot.

Cooking tips
