- Graduation robes are usually dark colors (mine were red. RED.) Keep an eye on the weather, and if rain is in the forecast wear darker colors or remember to bring a poncho to wear either under or over your robes. Yes, that's lame, but it's better than ruining an outfit with a giant stain from where your robe bled.
- The temperature in May can vary. If your ceremony is outdoors, bring layers in case it's cold and water in case it's hot!
- Wear sunscreen!
- If your ceremony is outside, you may want to wear your newest 4in spikes, but you'll probably sink into the grass. Wedges are a great, and spring-appropriate, alternative.
- Carry a small purse or clutch. I made the mistake of lugging around a huge bag and it got annoying!
