Gorgeous Györ

By Ingridd @cosytraveler

Once we had left Berlin and Moritzburg, we spent the night in Prague. Unfortunately, our hotel was so far from the center, that we couldn’t visit it. We still had a lot of kilometers to cover for our next destination: a small village not far from Györ.

Györ is one of the biggest towns of Hungary and is located in the northwest of the country. No less than three rivers cross this lovely city, which during its history was invaded by many tribes and other countries. For a long time in the 20th century the historical buildings were neglected, but that changed in the 1970s.

Since the weather was already quite hot before noon, Lars and I went to the waterside. We had a stroll along the river Raba and then ventured into the city.
