AT LEAST THE KIDS ARE TALKING ABOUT YOU

Well, there is the saying that there is no such thing as bad publicity. A similar concept from Oscar Wilde was "the only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about."

That said, the best version is from Irish writer Brendan Behan who said more aptly, "there is no such thing as bad publicity, except your obituary."

The YouTube equivalent of your obituary is when you show up on Tosh.O. The semi-lame nine-putt was recently the subject of some mocking by Daniel Tosh.

TheTeeSheet previously calculated the odds and they were not that long. The calculations for Tosh's shot are probably about the same.

TOP MOMENTS FROM BAY HILL

The typically exciting Bay Hill approached and the PGA Tour made this video this week to show some of the tourney's top moments. Couple things to note:

I miss Payne Stewart, the accent and those outfits
Robert Gamez holing out from the fairway was in front of Larry Mize ... 3 years after Mize himself holed a chip to win the Masters over Greg Norman. Greg Norman finished second to Gamez that year at Bay Hill and would have won had Gamez not holed out and simply had a par on 18! The Shark always seems snake-bit.
Tiger wins this thing a lot. As mentioned, Bay Hill is one of the three courses (along with Torrey Pines and Firestone) that alone would be good enough for Tiger to be in the Hall of Fame.
They used to give out a sword?
Who feels like a cool refreshing Arnold Palmer? Make one from scratch in 10 minutes flat!

Unrelated to golf but also big on the Internet this week is Carlsberg's pretty funny ad about testing friendships and being rewarded with beer.

Well, since I've added a completely non-golf-specific video, here's another. It is big on the Internet this past week so its only in case you missed it. Although, aside from this example, golf scorecards may be the one other place in life in which paper is still the best.

VIJAY - WHATCHA GOT? FULL HOUSE?

Well, Michael Collins at ESPN makes a good point about Vijay's silence hurting him (as an aside, there is something charmingly home-made about this video - it's not criticism and Collins speaks comfortably and clearly. It's no boom-goes-the-dynamite but it feels weirdly home-spun for the worldwide leader ESPN).

We have already discussed on the big tells of PED users. Stubborn silence falls in the category of unusual denials. If one has nothing to hide, someone as confident and outspoken as Vijay should be anxious to set the record straight. Odd.

YOU CAN JUST FEEL IT

I love Arnold and like the Bay Hill tournament, but who's kidding whom? This is all just prologue to the Masters. Of course for Canadians, it's the 10th anniversary of the country's greatest golf moment: Mike Weir winning the Masters (if you want to relive it eh, grab a back-bacon sandwich, some salt and vinegar chips, a two-four of Molson Golden and check out the entire three hour afternoon telecast of that amazing day of clutch wedges and putts).

It's also been 25 years since Sandy Lyle's famous 7-iron from the bunker on 18 to set up a birdie to win his green jacket. It is stark how much more narrow the tee shot looks now (and how close they allow the patrons) compared to 1988. Here's Lyle's tee shot in 1988 compared to Bubba Watson last year on 18.
