It's so easy to hear what type of music this is within the first few seconds that we won't want to insult anyone by implying explicitly that this is "incredible Synthpop", "Superb Electropop" or "Such Astounding Indie". However, we will suggest that it doesn't necessarily play the way you'll expect it to, and that, despite this, we still suspect that you'll absolutely love it.The vocals come in from the immediate beginning, which, nowadays, might be considered a little strange. Even so, there's no way that this chilled out track can be considered offensive and that is what comes across really very well. You know that you can enjoy yourself to it and really let loose, but, you're completely comfortable and, the prettiness of it all is actually what takes you through.
We can see elements of Mausi throughout this one and, given that we absolutely adored their single, Move, it comes as no shock that we think this is utterly brilliant too.
There are a couple of things that we think could be changed though, but this is not to distract from the fact that this is a great feat and most definitely a fantastic first single for us to hear. The male vocal, which is heard in the second verse, doesn't come across nearly as strong as the female vocal. It doesn;t stand out as well next to the backdrop and, unfortunately, when he speaks, there's a desire to fast-forward, or rewind, in order to hear the woman again ... however, this is only a small change and, we would love to hear more in order to see if this is just a one-off.
Fair play to them though, it's not every day that you come across the likes of Mausi or MSMR-esque bands and love them instantly.
