Here comes the summer, the blazing heat and the extreme temperature. We generally try engaging ourselves indoors by watching TV or playing some indoor games. Taking about the indoor games, i just realized that there are so many traditional games that we have lost or people of this generation haven't even heard of. Here is come game that comes in this category.

CHIRMI :

                 This is a simple game from Rajasthan and very enjoyable,especially for children.It is a fun way to spend time on the beach.
You need:   originally, the game is played with chirtni or gundumani-red beads with a black spot.However, you can play with tamarind seeds,beads or anything small.



how to play:  Each player gets a handful of seeds(of equal numbers).These are buried in a heap of sand.Based on the number of players,the heap is then divided into number of parts.The players then find the number of seeds buried in the sand allotted to them.Now,the player with the least number of seeds puts his or hers in the heap,while all the others contribute an equal number.The game continues till all the seeds are exhausted..:) :)
