If you are a regular on my Facebook page, you will have seen the post I put up a few days ago with the Sun and Uranus in opposition making a square to the Nodal Axis. Now tomorrow this square perfects, and as it does it forms part of an even more powerful Full Moon picture, with the Moon reaching the end of its current cycle in the sign of Taurus, occurring in close conjunction to the planet of rebellion, Uranus.
There are many facets to this full Moon, occurring at 1.13 degrees Taurus in line with the beautiful constellation of Andromeda. The full Moon is a time of revelations, of seeing the full picture. Everything will be out in the open now, lit up by the Moon reflecting the light from the Sun. The Moon in Taurus is one of emotional security and values, and in effect we will feel safe with what we know when the Moon is in this sign. This is the keeping as opposed to the Sun in the letting go sign of Scorpio. The opposition here is one of having to protect what we have, and fearing the change that just has to inevitably happen. Across this axis this applies to what we own and value ourselves, as to what what we owe to and share with others. What starts to grow and build in the sign of Taurus eventually dies and has to regenerate in the sign of Scorpio. I hope that you understand the principle.
So this Full Moon will highlight the things that we want to keep safe and secure, the things we want to nurture, build and develop and it will show what we value the most. Now with Uranus closely conjunct to this full Moon, there is a wild card thrown into the mix now. Uranus does not play by the rules, it upsets the apple cart and therefore everything that we want to remain stable and strong is likely to be completely overturned, blown out the water by things that are shocking, different or against the status quo.
I am now going to add in an extra element to this picture. Both the full Moon and Uranus are conjunct the star Mirach, a star in girdle of the constellation of Andromeda, the chained Princess in the skies. The Greeks saw Andromeda as the beautiful princess and virgin who was chained to the rocks and required a hero to save her. In those legends this was the warrior Perseus, with sword in hand, and if you look up to the stars, you will see these two constellations sitting side by side in our night's sky. Andromeda is a symbol of female fertility waiting for her lover to come to her side. Anyone who has connections in their birth chart to the stars of Andromeda will likely be independent souls who are decisive, love speed, movement and their freedom too, the breaking of the chains to be freed from danger signify this. There is another side to Andromeda because of the mythology, and the stars have been connected with those who are restricted, chained or trapped in some manner, those who are sacrificed by someone else, or feel unable to act as they wish. Uranus on this star only help us to break away from tradition and the constraints of what we know, it will reveal the shocking truth of things that have been held back, constrained, or imprisoned to be sacrificed.
Into the picture we also have to add in Venus, the ruler of Taurus, as she now moving retrograde is part of this fixed cross, moving ever closer to a conjunction to the Sun, and in doing so opposing the Full Moon and Uranus. Venus like the sign of Taurus represents our values but also it highlights love, relationships, fairness and our ability to be diplomatic. Trust me, existing relationships and values are likely to be rocked in the coming days because of existing information coming out, revealed by this Full Moon. This is all part of the Venus retrograde process, where we look back at the things and people that we have got involved with, and assess their suitability in our own lives. Do they make us more secure, or do their actions actually hurt us? Is it time to permanently rid ourselves of anyone or anything who does not share our values, and does not play a full part in our future? Venus retrograde in Scorpio brings up a battle of wits and wills, and makes us face up to the less palatable side of the relationships we have, and are involved in. There is a brutal or uncomfortable truth to all that we are experiencing, and now under this full Moon, all of the details are likely to come out.
In your life and in the world around us, what will come out to affect us will not be easy to deal with, but deal with it we must in order to free ourselves from a restrictive situation. Emotions that are often quite reserved in Taurus are going to be upset, and this may see the placid bull turn forceful, aggressive and confrontational as irritation sets in about the changes that have to be taken. Although we won't want to accept what is going to come out under this Full Moon and it will make us uncomfortable, accept it we must so that we can start the growing process again, so that we can build on new foundations, and regain some solidity and certainty back, so that we can once again progress.
