Foxes Finds Her Feet ...

Posted on the 07 December 2013 by Tlb Music Blog @TLB_Blog
This year has been a brilliant one for Foxes. Her single, Youth, finally got the coverage it deserved and she has gone from strength to strength; propelled into the industry with many adoring fans. Her latest effort, Let Go For Tonight, is another majestic performance that is sure to wreak her the rewards of her labor ... this one could well be the next, more cheerful, Lana Del Rey.
Foxes Finds Her Feet ...The reference to Lana most definitely comes from the introduction. She sings to not much more than a deep, but somewhat hollow drum, and a few chimes. The real music begins with a mixture of drums and dotted violins, but manages to really create something much more glamorous, though, in the video, she could easily be running through a field of beautifully blossoming flowers ... maybe like something that Florence + The Machine could do.
there's a whimsicality to it all that really has not been precedented ... and we reckon that's why Foxes really appeals to a lot of people. She manages to really showcase her wonderful tone, whilst not over-singing, but still doing enough to really make you smile.
This is most definitely one of those songs that will fit in at any time of year. In the winter, it suits a wonderland assortment, and the likes of London should really take note to play this one when the lights are on and the chill is ahead ... however, in saying that, the Summer could easily be the big time for this one too. The fact that it makes you smile, and the pace of it all really speaks volumes that, alongside some sunshine, could easily be misconstrued for absolute heaven.
Paul.
