Perusing the internet looking for inspiration in any and all forms is one of my personal favorite pastimes. I am often coming across new, atleast to me, fabulous bloggers that I immediately add to my "fashion blogs to follow" list... which has now become quite a long list. This daily ritual of mine is exactly how I found Kaitlyn Tru & her amazing blog, Romans 12:2. Kaitlyn's simple yet modern style had me awe-struck, and I immediately wanted to know more about what inspires her & her killer style, and I am sure now you do too.
Those leather panel leggings are insane.
flxx: Describe to us your personal style? kt: Nothing too consistent. Sometimes edgy & then other times more bohemian. Maybe if Californian and New York diverged? flxx: What is your typical go to outfit? Something really simple, either leather leggings or just some dark skinny jeans with some sort of boot. Go minimal up top with maybe a hat. flxx: What are some trends you are currently loving? Actually, I love all of the floral going on? Not usual for me, either... flxx: Trends that you find to be cringe-worthy? Bags stamped with excess labels. Ex: Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Coach, Dooney... I just see those girls as having no taste & trying to show wealth. Lame. flxx: What are your favorite places to shop? Zara, H&M, ShopBop, NastyGal... flxx: What are your favorite fashion designers, and why? Alexander Wang, Helmut Lang, Theory, Proenza Schouler, Celine, Isabel Marant... Too many? I guess you could say they all have similar qualities. Either the tough factor or that simple minimal quality that I admire. flxx: Whom are your favorite models or style icons, tell us why? Freja Beha is such a babe. She does tough better than anyone. After her maybe Abbey Lee's eclectic combos, MKA Olsen's signature looks, and then I have to support a Texas Native, Erin Wasson, who does the best new age grunge. I also fall for a good simple look from Elin Kling or Caroline Blomst. flxx: Tell us all your most sacred beauty secret? Less is more. I don't fix my hair. Ever. My face in the day is pretty simple, too. I may add some dark to my eye for night... flxx: What is your favorite item in your closet? My new Alexander Wang Rafael Structured Bag :)
