Advice to a bride whengoingto her first flower consultation.Relax and treat it like a chat with a friend. We don’t bite, so ask as many questions as you like so you feel confident that you and the florist are on the same wavelength. We spend at least 2 hours on the first consultation so we begin to get to know the bride. Be honest on your budget and taste. Your taste, style and opinion can never be wrong, as it’s personal to you.
Your most memorable wedding.Obviously all our weddings are memorable and we have become great friends with a lot of our brides. The weddings that spring to mind the most are of course my sisters wedding, a beautiful vintage affair in the middle of ye olde Haworth; late summer cerise and pink flowers filling the church and venue. Then one of our first weddings when we stayed up all night sewing an orchid head and carnation petal chandelier that was suspended 30ft in the air.
What flowers did you or would you have at your own wedding? I'm not married, but it would be a very hard decision, but I think I would keep it simple with English Sweet Peas.
What is your favourite flower? Very much depends on the season, we love it when we start to see the new flowers coming through. We do love hydrangeas.
