Fisher Price Laugh & Learn Piggy Bank

Little Miss A was recently sent the Laugh & Learn Piggy Bank to play with and review from Fisher Price. Prior to receiving this I had seen a lot of the Laugh & Learn items in the shops but we hadn’t actually got any. Since then we have now received the Shopping bag too!
The Piggy Bank is aimed at children aged 6 months plus and is really simple to use. In my experience, children love to ‘post’ things and this is the general basis of the toy. Children pick up the different coloured plastic coins and post them in the top of the piggy bank which then makes a noise, or counts them, depending on which setting you have it on.
The piggy bank is great for helping babies and young children learn about counting, colours and animals together with having a sensory and musical aspect. The piggy bank comes with 10 different coloured coins, each coin having a different animal on them. As well as this, the coins are two different sizes and one of each color has a smooth edge,and the other a bumpy edge.
There are two different settings on which to put the piggy bank – music or learning. When you have it set to music, upon putting a coin into the bank, music is played. When you have it set to learning, the coins are counted as your child puts them in, as well as Old MacDonald being played.
As well as the noises when you are putting coins into the bank, when you press piggy’s nose, it will make a variety of different noises and sing a nice little song (which Little Miss A loved to dance along to, naturally!).
It took Little Miss A a few attempts to get the coin lined up with the slot correctly, however, it has been great for helping her hand eye coordination and now when she sits down to play with it, she very rarely struggles.
I am really impressed with the Piggy Bank. It is really sturdy and will stand up to a lot of play. I also think it is a great, fun way, for helping Little Miss A learn about colours, animals and helping her with her hand eye co-ordination.
I can see her having a lot of fun with this toy for a long time to come!
Currently priced at around £15-£20 I think this is a great toy for young children that will hold their attention for a long time.
