Fio Country Kitchen, Garden of Five Senses - Ultimate Romantic Destination Fio had been on list of target restaurants for a long time, somehow I didn’t get time to visit this place. I happily accepted when I received invite for their chill and grill festival. Fio is located inside the garden of five senses, in said-ul-jab, beautifully designed park. I have been to garden of five senses couple of times with my photography group and have done several photo walks.
Fio Country Kitchen, Garden of Five Senses - Ultimate Romantic DestinationFio has always been considered as one of the most romantic place in Delhi/NCR and they fully deserve it. Beautifully designed restaurant, greeneries around, with open sitting arrangement, provides a remarkable dining experience. Apart from AL fresco, they have a nice dining area inside the restaurant as well. The menu, developed by Chef Pawan is extremely inviting and they serve Indian as well as Italian cuisineBeing warmly greeted by their PR manager we had small chat with chef and we decided to follow his recommendation. He said he has planned our dinner in such a way that by the end of the day we will have clear idea about the kind of food they serve. I would also like to mention here that the Bar chef was extremely enthusiast and promised to serve us some excellent cocktails. Fio Country Kitchen, Garden of Five Senses - Ultimate Romantic DestinationWe had a very refreshing watermelon martini and it was a great start to the evening. We started with Phylo Tazza - Caramelized onion, goat cheese and mushroom, great combination and the phylo cup was crispy and flaky. Tapenade glazed chicken was highly recommended by chef and yes he was right. Despite being non-chicken fan I loved the dish. Mediterranean-inspired dish that was perfectly cooked, moist and it’s combination with molasses and red wine was superb! Cheese potato, perfectly baked and was amazingly delicious. Innovative and interesting was Gandheri kebab, another brilliant chicken starter presented like chuski (shaved ice) with sugarcane sticks. After we finished our starters, we decided to take a walk and look at the restaurant. I must say I was really impressed with their landscaping and it is a perfect destination not only for romantic dinner but a great place for parties too.Fio Country Kitchen, Garden of Five Senses - Ultimate Romantic DestinationFor the main course we decided to sit inside and enjoy. We had char grilled sea bass, grilled polenta streak, pork belly and char grilled chicken legs. Char grilled chicken legs were just brilliant. One of the best grilled chickens cooked to perfection, crispy skin and moist and juicy chicken inside. It’s highly recommended .Pork belly too was delicious and complemented well with orange sauce. Char grilled sea bass too was well cooked and fish was flaky and delicious. Being a hard-core non-vegetarian I enjoyed the grilled polenta steak. We finished our meal with freshly baked cake and tiramisu jar. Cake was warm as it was baked then and tasted great and was perfect. Tiramisu was Chef Pawan’s take on tradition tiramisu and it was creamy with right amount of mascarpone cheese and I enjoyed it.Fio Country Kitchen, Garden of Five Senses - Ultimate Romantic DestinationI must say that we had a great evening, amazing lip smacking food and equally brilliant cocktails followed by top class service. Fio is a place where I would love to come back time and again.Kudos to Chef Pawan and the entire team of Fio for the great menu and divine food!
