Fighting the Ageing Process – How Far Will You Go?

By Tempestra @tempestra1

I may only be in my twenties, but already I have found gray hairs (and plucked them out immediately, of course!).  And I can’t help but panic every time I notice a new wrinkle.  I am annoyed with myself for getting so anxious about it but I can see why so many women feel the need to seek a little help as they approach middle age.

Then I saw the pics of Cindy Crawford the other day.  Actually I wasn’t sure who it was at first, as she looks completely different.  Her cheekbones are much fuller (suspected implants or fillers) and her forehead is completely free of lines.  She looks great, really, for her age, but I think she also now radiates an air of desperation.  Her facial features have changed almost beyond recognition and I find that kind of sad.

I’m just hoping I’ve got the same genes of Michelle Pfeiffer, Susan Sarandon  or Elle MacPherson – all natural beauties who have aged so gracefully.  Of course I’m not so naïve to think I’ll be that lucky.  But I hope I have their self-confidence and don’t feel the need to fork out for costly and somewhat risky procedures in order to look great.  In the meantime, I’ll stick with my healthy(ish) lifestyle, some fabulous bras and as much positive thinking as possible – while keeping an open mind about what I might do in 20 years’ time…
