If you love figs they you are going to love this Fig Newton Cocktail recipe.
A few months back I was given some dried figs. Not sure what to do with them at the time, I decided to macerate them in some booze. So I bought a bottle of cheap vodka, sliced the figs and added them to the vodka.
I then allowed them to hang out and get to know each other for a few months. They chilled out in the back of the liquor cabinet.
To be honest I didn’t know what to do with them. I thought about maybe giving it away in smaller bottles as Christmas gifts. Then I thought I do not want to wait until Christmas to try this stuff. So I experimented a bit and came up with this cocktail.
Look, if you don’t have homemade fig vodka hanging out in your liquor cabinet, no worries. The Liquor store does have a fig vodka that they sell. Just use that, it is all good.
