Festive Nails

By Brightowngirl @Brightowngirl
Festive Nails I am still trying to get into the festive spirit so today I decided to dig around in my nail polish drawer and pick out some of my most festive polishes.  I will start with the two new polishes that have come in my Ciate Advent Calendar this week. The first is a sequin polish called Miss Mistletoe that is made up of gold and red sequins, you can't say Christmas more than that. The other Ciate Polish is called Fit For A Queen which is a shimmery silver polish which is opaque and covers the nail with one coat. What I love about this is that it doesn't feel rough to the touch like some other polishes. Red is another shade I like to wear at Christmas time and my two favourites are OPI Big Red Apple and Mavala Cuzco*. These are both ruby red colours and just give your hands a truly festive look. Rimmel have bought out some gorgeous glitter polish and Total Eclipse is a duo chrome shade with a mixture of black, green and purple in it. I actually got this for Halloween but think it would be great for Christmas too.  There seems to be a lot of glitter shades around that give a snow like effect this year and two that I like are OPI Lights Of Emerald City and Barry M Lady. These are both quite sheer colours and look best over another polish especially white to give a true snow look.  Lastly is a gorgeous rose gold shade from Maybelline called Knitted Gold. This is a gold glitter with tiny pink sequins mixed in. It looks great on its own if you apply a few coats but is also great as a top coat.   What is your go to Christmas polish? Have you tried any of these?  *PR Sample
