Festival Number 6 is the latest boutique festival to cause a sensation. It only launched last year, but already it has garnered praise and awards for its unique approach to the festival experience. The 2013 NME awards voted it best new festival and we can see why. The three-day event is housed in the picturesque coastal village of Portmeiron, which some of you may recognize from cult TV series The Prisoner.
Hidden among the candy-coloured Mediterranean-style houses, woodlands, and seafront is a vast offering of cultural happenings. Think screenings, readings, performance art, and champagne bars. Oh, and music plays a massive part, too. Primal Scream and New Order headlined last year and this year’s main live acts will be announced this week. Watch this space.
