Felicity Jane : Joy

Hello everyone!  I'm so excited to share with you this layout I created with the Felicity Jane December kit. There are tons of beautiful Christmas element in this kit and what I love most is the colours! The only problem is I do not have many Christmas photos taken in 2015 or the year before. So today, I'll be sharing with you little tips on how you can use your December kit with your everyday photos. I love taking it as a challenge to use up the festive papers + elements that are in my stash. That will definitely save you some bucks! *wink*Let me share with you my 3 simple-steps creative process on this layout...1. First, I will look out for simpler patterns (polkadot, stripes, plaids) that do not scream too much of festive theme. 2. Next, I also pay attention to colours and elements that I can use for everyday themed photo(s). I really love this Chinese New Year photo that I took back in 2014. It goes so well with the colours in the kit. And I also fussy cut the flowers just because there are some flower motifs on my daughter's & my Chinese costume. 3. Completed my layout with stamping & some cute embellishments.
