February Round-Up and Budget

February was the month in which I decided I was over boots. Does anyone besides me just want to wear a good pair of flats or sandals? Being in Florida for a few days definitely didn't help. Nothing but flip flops and shorts? Let me go back. Hopefully warmer days are on the horizon (even though it's currently snowing...) and I can, gasp, maybe wear a dress without freezing my tush off!
In an effort to be a responsible human being, I'm planning to stick to a monthly budget for clothing and beauty purchases (for my inspiration, check out these lovely budgeters!). I'm giving myself a window of $300 per month, which works out to $3,600 for the year and it will include any and all things I purchase (shirts, shoes, hair lipsticks, etc). I skipped January because it was just such a crazy month that I didn't really buy anything! But in February I went out to punch up my wardrobe a little bit and finally found a pair of black booties (which had been on my wishlist for ages - and they were on sale)!

As you can see, I was over a little bit. But I'm considering that ok, because I was able to purchase one of the closet staples I've been after for a while and, let me tell you, those black booties are getting a lot of wear!
