Can we paint my claws too?!?!
Metallics are always great during Autumn and throughout the holidays. Even a neutral metallic has a beautiful life to it that adds an extra spark that prevents it from being too boring. I'm not going to drag on with an unnecessary introduction, so here are my favorite metallic nail polishes this Fall!
1 coat of Butter London's "Lillibet's Jubilee"
in indirect sunlight
Butter London "Lillibet's Jubilee" - Described by Butter London as, "a silvery, lavender metallic foil." This shade was created for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee this year and I believe it is a limited edition shade. It definitely flashes both lilac and silver and is highly metallic. Butter London really does an amazing job with metallic foil shades! And this color...I have never seen anything else like it! It is absolutely fit for a Queen :)
2 coats of Butter London's "The Full Monty"
in indirect sunlight
Butter London "The Full Monty" - Described by Butter London as, "full-on molten gold nail lacquer." Though not a terribly unusual shade since I think most brands make a gold metallic, Butter London's metallics really are better than any I have tried.
1 coat of China Glaze's "Rare & Radiant"

1 coat of China Glaze's "Rare & Radiant"
in indirect sunlight
China Glaze "Rare & Radiant" - This is an interesting duochrome metallic. It is basically gold with a green duochrome. It's perfect for something not too daring, yet still causes a second glance! These photos didn't capture it's shade-shifting abilities too well on the nails, but you get a better sense of it from the bottle. This is virtually identical to OPI's "Just Spotted the Lizard" which was reportedly a dupe for Chanel's highly sought-after "Peridot". I have seen it next to "Just Spotted the Lizard" and I really do not see any difference. I do not have "Peridot" so I can't comment on how close the two are. This is a really beautiful and unusual shade that is great if you're looking for something that's relatively neutral, but with a touch of something more!
2 coats of Butter London's "The Old Bill"
in indirect sunlight
Butter London "The Old Bill" - Described by Butter London as, "a burnished copper nail lacquer with an antique patina." This color is a bit warmer than gold and is a beautiful almost neutral metallic. Excuse my nails here - they are a bit stained around the edges and particularly under the nail itself from all the swatching and they could be in better condition!
2 coats of OPI for Sephora's "Already Famous"
in indirect sunlight
OPI for Sephora "Already Famous" - Described by Sephora as, "sheer pewter with medium champagne and silver glitter." I would say this has a champagne and silver shimmer, not glitter. Another great "neutral" metallic. This color is very similar to "Rage", the cult fav from Orly. I would say "Rage" is a touch more metallic, while "Already Famous" is a little more on the shimmery side. Another similar shade is OPI for Sephora's "Chest-nuts About You" which is more of a rose-gold so it is a bit warmer and a bit rosier. The three shade are very similar though.
2 coats of Butter London's "Shag" in
indirect sunlight
Butter London "Shag" - Described by Butter London as, "a high-shine, warm orange-burgundy metallic nail lacquer. Reminiscent of fallen Autumn leaves." I
LOVE this color! It completely sums up Fall to me. It is the most beautiful chestnut brown. It is more of a subtle metallic, not a super foiled metallic. It is the perfect Fall shade! I love it so much I dedicated an entire post to it that can be seen
here.
3 coats of Color Club's "Wild & Willing"
in indirect sunlight
3 coats of Color Club's "Wild & Willing"
in indirect sunlight
Color Blub - "Wild & Willing" - This color is probably one of the most unusual colors I have ever seen! It is a very sheer, but buildable polish that all at once looks orange, brown, gold and slightly green. It is a really beautiful shade that is also perfect for Autumn! It is kind of like having the changing colors of the leaves all rolled into one and constantly changing on your nails :)
I believe that does it for my Metallic Polish Pics. I wouldn't normally group them by finish, but I had so many, it seemed the best way to deal with them! Still to come are Neutrals, Glitters and Everything Else.
